Do you take 4-year-olds?

Yes, as long as they are at school, they can come to Saplings.

Do you take SEND children?

Yes, everyone is welcome at Saplings. We'll meet with you and assess each child to ensure we can meet their needs before they are offered a place. Please contact us for more details.

Do you take childcare vouchers?

Of course! Let us know who your voucher provider is, and we will register with them if we haven’t already. We also accept the UK government Tax-Free Childcare Scheme funds.

Do the children get a hot meal?

There is a rolling menu with a mix of hot and cold light meals and snacks such as pasta, jacket potatoes, wraps and beans on toast. There is always access to drinks such as milk, water and squash and snacks such as fruit and yoghurts. We also accommodate most dietary requirements. Please contact us for more details.

What if I’m late to collect my child?

We realise this can happen to anyone, especially if you are using public transport, but please call us as soon as possible if you are running late. We are at the site cleaning and tidying until 6.30 pm. If you arrive before 6.15 pm, there will be no charge. Between 6.15-6.30 pm, there will be a late fee, and after 6.30 pm, we will follow our non-collection policy.

I don't have regular work days. Can my child still have a place?

We have two places that can be booked last minute. We need to have you registered with us “on the books” so that we know where to collect your child, and the school is happy for us to do so. Please contact us for more details.

I am struggling to afford to work, and this is out of my budget

Do you offer holiday clubs?

Yes, we offer Half Term clubs for the Autumn, Spring and Summer half-terms, Easter holidays and the first four weeks of the Summer holidays, subject to enough bookings. These book up really quickly, so we recommend that you book early. Children attending the breakfast and after-school clubs have first refusal on places for all holiday clubs. We also offer a reduced price for early bookings. Please contact us for more details.
